Failing to do that meant serious consequences for them. What does that mean for them and for us? Other topics include a short discussion on Revelations, Chapter 1, as a preface to the main topic. This teaching was done on September 20, 2008 by Allan Nemer, an elder in our congregation. To Read a 4 part article that was based on this sermon Seek His RighteousnessWhat does it mean to seek His righteousness? How should that affect our lives? What are the practical ways that we walk out that righteousness in our everyday lives? Messianic Rabbi Bruce Neiger gave this message on August 16, 2008 How Do We Finish? Many people in scripture not only had a call on their lives but completed the call, they finished their work. As Yeshua (Jesus) was just about to face being executed he praised His father that He was able to finish the work that He was called to do. Many people preach about finding their call, many speak about overcoming obstacles to fulfill their calling, few talk about finishing the call on their lives. This message was given by Messianic Rabbi Bruce Neiger on September 27, 2008. The Six C's of a CallBreaking down and looking at the anatomy of a call of God in a person’s life. This message uses Biblical examples to look at what the speaker terms “The Six C’s of A Call”. This sermon was given by Associate Messianic Rabbi Bruce Neiger at our Rosh Hashanah Day Service on September 30, 2008. To the Jew FirstA reminder to us and to the Messianic Jewish movement of one of the basic callings to all in the kingdom of God. Preach the Good News of Yeshua to the Jew first and also to the Gentiles (nations). This message was given by Associate Messianic Rabbi Bruce Neiger at our Yom Kippur Day service on October 9, 2008. Rosh Hashanah Eve 2008The Sermon for our Rosh Hashanah Eve 2008 Service. Among the subjects covered is that the Lord wants us to realize that the greatest weapon that we can use against the enemy is the love of God. This message was given by Messianic Rabbi Ed Rothman on September 29, 2009. At the end of the sermon Rabbi Rothman leads the congregation in a prayer of corporate repentance followed by a confession dealing with forgiveness and unity. To download both of them go to our podcast resources page. Look for the line that says “Rosh Hashanah Prayers of Repentance and other confessions” - also included is a 3rd confession that was mentioned in the podcast. The Seven Times Yeshua Shed His BloodThis message talks about the seven times Yeshua (Jesus) spilled His blood before and when He was on the cross. Rabbi Rothman talks about how that affects us and the promises in scripture that we can appropriate into our lives. There is a LOT of scripture in this short message. This message was given at our Yom Kippur/Kol Nidre Service on October 8, 2008 by Messianic Rabbi Ed Rothman. Technical note: The first minute has some small microphone issues where it seems some things are missed (parts of words). It was fixed after the first minute. The Cost of RighteousnessWe are disciples of Yeshua. He calls us to be obedient to His Word and to the commands He gives us each day. Yet He also calls us to have a daily relationship with Him and with each other. We want revival in our lives and in our congregations. In all these things what is the cost for all these things to successfully come to pass? What is the cost of the righteousness that He has imputed to us? This podcast is an edited version of the original. Some content at the end was cut out. After the message we had a corporate “quiet time” with the Lord where we played 20 minutes of soft instrumental worship. We had to edit that out due to copyright laws. However we strongly recommend that you find your favorite instrument worship music and do the same.
